Getting my ass handed to me.

I am an idiot. I am sitting at my desk, the week is over. It is late afternoon on Friday. The only thing I am really thinking about is finishing some work and grabbing a drink. Truth be told I checked out hours ago. I hadn’t traded in 3 hours and was not even watching the market. I am in the process of closing down my computer and I take one last look at the chart.

I think “wow this market getting killed”. I always make it a point when I am done for the day to consider that money made. It prevents me from continuing as I know how these things usually work for me. Very few things are as demoralizing to me as not following my rules. I can take getting stopped out or not getting filled or even the internet going out. All of those things I cannot control. I am the only one that can control whether I break my rules.

I got what I deserved and I am glad I got beat up. It ruined my weekend but the important thing is that I did not let one mistake become two. I came in Monday with a clear head, I did not make up for Friday’s lost but that was not the point.
