It is impossible to understand risk and ask this question…

Hey guys! I need to make $700 dollars next week, I have $200. What do you suggest? Low risk strategy please. I will not hold anyone responsible.

This came in from an email because for some reason I decided to accept a LinkedIn group invitation. This question was asked and with an exception of a few commentors they did not see or care about the second part.

His requirements defy the restraints of risk.  His requirement: quadruple his money, in a short period of time, executed in the near future, and all of this why not risking principle.

It is very possible to quadruple his money, but he has to risk it.  Riskier action is called for by his time frame.  Under those conditions, as someone pointed out, it is best if you goes to the casino and play roulette.

I am not saying any of this is impossible, but getting a counter party to assume that much risk without expecting a return with the frequency and time frame to achieve goal is improbable and I wouldn’t bet on its repeatability. Those opportunities do come along, just hard to see the real ones when you are in his situation.
