On Friday I wrote a post asking when was the last time news matter? Later in that day Anthony Crudele (DELI) wrote a post about how he saw the S&P 500 at a critical point. That post was an extension of post he wrote “Is the VIX signaling a correction?“.
We argued a little bit and as he explained I realized an important lesson. I was so focused on the news not mattering I did not see that the big picture story was changing. I was aware that of the big picture technicals but was not seeing how it was interacting. Both news and technical coming together to cause a correction.
